Pretty darn simple and solves most problems.įor anyone wondering/interested in helping me troubleshoot my Bluetooth dongle I bought the one they sell on monoprice because their stuff is usually pretty good.Īnd I'm using Windows 10s default Bluetooth driver. Not sure why but the whole thing literally only takes ten seconds. For me, I seem to always have to do this twice to get it working. Keep the script on the desktop right next to inputmapper.

Assure Input Mapper indicates successful exclusive mode at the bottom of its window and press any button (as indicated) to close the. You activate the script I have pasted below (just paste it into notepad and rename the file extension to. In order to do this, you close your programs and start Input Mapper. What the file does is temporarily disable windows explorer (or something like that) so that it doesn't activate the generic wireless controller (and thus only the xbox controller). To run exclusive mode properly for windows 10, you basically just open a file before you hook up your controller and close it after it's hooked up. Also, which BT adapter are you using? There are different specs between adapters. When you properly use exclusive mode though, it makes windows only detect that faux xbox controller that you're emulating with the DS4. In my case, that game was Trine and it was doing some wacky shit. Are you sure you're running it in exclusive mode? If you don't run it in exclusive mode, windows detects both an xbox controller and a generic wireless controller, leading to some problems in games. I use InputMapper (which is what DS4windows switched to if I recall correctly) with my DS4 and don't have any problems (wireless or wired).
